Word is we will not be having our quilt show next year at Maggie Valley Town Hall because the Town of Maggie is “remodeling” the main room.  Let’s hope they don’t remove the charm of the old school house.

Change is not easy, so consider this as a positive opportunity to get creative and come up with other solutions.

Linda Halpin was our guest speaker at our October 15th monthly guild meeting. Her lecture was “What Scrap Quilts Have Taught Me” and she presented a slide show and a trunk show about her introduction to quilting and some of her favorite scrap quilts.

Linda held her workshop in a very crowded Flosse White Room on Friday, October 16.   The class, Quilting 1-2-3 Three Scrap Quilt Block Designs, was interesting and a good time was had by all!
