One of our best years ever is how the 25th anniversary quilt show can be described. We had a high number of ballots cast for favorite quilt, a record-breaking sale in the Crafts Room and the Bake Sale was sold out by 1 pm Saturday. Once visitors saw the display of Quilts for Heroes, many gave donations to enable us to buy fabric and pay for shipping to Germany. Our theme quilt was won by a visitor from Tennessee.
The variety and quality of quilts was impressive with the tiny patch quilt by Teri Delano winning first place.
Second Prize was won by Kay Ross for her log cabin.
Third Prize went to Patsy Kells red pineapple with appliquéd border quilt.
Here are some photos of the show.
Thanks are due to all involved: the organizers, the volunteers who mounted and tore down the show, those who worked the show and made baked goods, the vendors, ticket sellers, quilt makers and visitors. Now we start planning for next year.
